Bugs & Feature on POS:

Orders:
  1. In the old version, when you split an order and transfer one of the resulting orders to another table, the table would be automatically selected at that point. This issue is fixed in the new version, now you need to manually select a table. [Ticket #150162]

In the previous version, if a user has the split out permission set to no, he is still able to split out a ticket with his own passcode. In new version, only user with split out permission enabled can split out a ticket. [Ticket #145903]
Print:
  1. In the current version, the POS system can print credit card receipts without an additional tip line if a gratuity (Gtip) has already been added to the ticket. This setting can be enabled in Backoffice > Setup > Order > Misc > Hide extra tip line on CC receipt when order has Gtip. [Ticket #149592]

2. In the current version, when an online order with the "pay at store" status is printed in Native-Yes mode, there is no visual distinction for this payment method. The updated version will display "pay at store" orders with white text on a black background, clearly highlighting this payment status. This enhancement applies exclusively to the Native-Yes print mode. [Ticket #151418]

3.  In the current version, we have added a new switch that allows merchants to print the happy hour(Advanced > Menu >Schedule) discount on the customer receipt. New Backoffice > Setup > Orders > Misc > Check Print happy hour discount on receipt. Note: For Printers with New Mode, to ensure this feature works properly, go to Setup > Printer and make sure "Item Group" setting is unchecked. Advanced Mode Printers will work normally. [Ticket #151845]

Report:
  1. In the previous version, when the cash pay in was paid on a previous day, not today, it will still show and count on today's report. This bug is fixed in the current version.

  2. In the previous version, if the merchant had the Teconnect or TRX gateway and set a surcharge(credit card fee), the surcharge(credit card fee) of online orders was not handled correctly when inserting records into the cc table, causing a mismatch of account receivable and account settlement in the user report. This issue has been fixed. [Ticket #151769]

3. In the new version, you are able to customize the sending time of daily email report. The setting is in "Advanced > General > Auto Send Report Time". Use this setting together with “Employee > Users > Auto Email Reports” [Ticket #145472]
  • If the time is set between 12:01PM to 11:59PM, a report of the current date will be sent.
  • If the time is set between 12AM to 11:59AM, a report of the previous date will be sent. e.g. Time is set at 2AM, and today is the 10th, then a report on the 9th will be sent.
  • If this setting is left empty, then a report will be sent 3 hours after the extended hour.
4. Some updates relate to clicking on the user report without login [Ticket #153326]:
  • If the user is a waiter with history permissions, they can view their own tickets for today and previous days.
  • If the user is a waiter without history permissions, they can only view their own tickets for today.
  • If the user is a manager or owner with history permissions, they can view all users' reports for today and previous days.
  • If the user is a manager or owner without history permissions, they can view all users' reports for today only.
5. In this new version, we added a return feature, meaning the merchant can return money based on the batched order, so we changed the format of the credit > report. If the number is prefixed with “R”. It means it’s a return. The Total will now be Batched amount minus Return amount.

6. In the old version, when printing the credit report in Credit > Report , if an order was paid by the online gateway, the expiration date data value will print as “v-data-exp=0000”. This issue is now fixed. [Ticket #152265]

Other:
  1. When using the new Price function, the user can use the physical keyboard to enter 0 and press enter without asking for manager code permission. Now this bug has been fixed.[Ticket #147816]

  2. If an order has ready time, KDS shows ready time. [Ticket #145736]

3. The newly added KDS setting inKDS Setting > Tickets > Hide/Show Finished Items can control whether to display the finished items on a ticket on the KDS. [Ticket #148905]
4. “Print” button on the customer display for receipt print can now be removed. It is controlled by a newly added setting in Advanced > General > CDS print receipt options [Ticket #147443]
5. In the new version, searching for an item by name in the Receiving Function ignores case sensitivity. Previously, searching by name was case-sensitive. For example, "water" can now be found, but "Water" could not be found before.[Ticket #150576]
6. In the new version, in New Backoffice > Apps > SMS Text > Cell phone number for notification messages, enter the phone number, and click Send Test Msg > check Clock in/out message > Save. This way, whenever an employee clocks in or out, this phone number will receive a text message. [Ticket #149854]
7. In the previous version, the receipt printer will print the guest number after the table number. One of the merchants thinks that this number means split order amount and called to ask about this issue. We added a description for it in the new version. Ticket # 150217

8. In the previous version, when an item quantity was set and an order containing this item was placed using 'Pay First' with MagTek Flex2, the item stock quantity remained unchanged. This bug has been fixed. [Ticket #152520]

9. For KDS, future orders with a scheduled ready time should appear on the scheduled day rather than the day they were placed. To enable this feature, go to Setup > Orders > MISC and enable the option "Show future order on that day (Ready Time)."[Ticket #149659]

10. To enable the return tool, navigate to Setup > Payments > Return and configure the Return window in days setting. Enter a value to allow returns within the specified period, or leave it empty or set to 0 to disable returns.[Ticket #153961]
Key Return Rules:
  • Returns cannot be processed on the same day’s order.
  • If returning items via card is required, only MagTek supports this function.
  • Currently, card returns are limited to transactions that have already been batched.
Return Process & Impact:
  • Successfully returned items will be restocked in inventory and removed from the item sales report when the "Auto Recovery for Returned Items" setting is enabled under Inventory > Settings.
  • The original order will include a miscellaneous note indicating the return.
  • Each order can only be returned once.
  • The return amount will be reflected in User, Daily, Sales, and Employee reports.
  • Return items will be reflected in the item report.
  • Whether to include the surcharge in the return amount can be controlled via Setup > Payments > Return > Return will include surcharge.
  • If you select the "Return All" option, the refunded amount will include the gratuity (the tip displayed on the order). 
11. In the old version, there was a bug for paid first that caused the adding of a new order to FAIL when the server was busy loading report data. This is now fixed. [Ticket #151987]
12. New Backoffice > Employees > Users > Edit > Real time Alerts. In the previous version, Real time alerts would not send messages even if Batch was checked and the correct phone and email were filled in. In the new version, this function has been fixed. After Auto Batch, a notification will be sent to the entered email and phone, including both successful and failed batch situations.[Ticket #147825, #152262]

Bug & Feature on Online:

KwickMenu.com:
  1. Previously, our marketing tool would send SMS to all 10-digit numbers from the POS, including fake numbers from Doordash. The new version now filters out these third-party proxy numbers automatically.

  2. Now we can check loyalty points online. But this only works with the alpha POS version, and we can only access it by adding checkLoyalty.php at the end of the website url. For example: https://kpqa.kwickmenu.com/checkLoyalty.php

3. In the previous version, when a customer placed an online delivery order, after entering the order and selecting an address, if the customer refreshed the page and then selected the address again, the tax would be recalculated based on the previous tax amount. This bug has been fixed.  [Will be released on March 17th]

4. In the new version, loyalty points activity is shown in the loyalty page, including points earned, redeem and cancel redeem. [Will be released on March 17th]
