POS:

Orders:
  1. When updating a ticket that has an item with subitem, if item price is $0 and subitem with price $10, on kitchen receipt, the item price will be printed as $0 but not $10. (price of this item at the first time order was entered is normal) [Ticket #128290]

  2. In the previous version, if we have item A with its global modifications and item B with its global modifications, editing A’s global modification would cause it to appear under B’s global modifications. This would cause confusion because the merchant couldn’t tell which item the modification belonged to. [Ticket #168406]

  3. In the previous version, when adding an item to the right hand side cart, some random items would not be added to the bottom of the cart, instead it would jump above on top of the cart. This issue has been resolved in the new beta version, including scenarios involving both local and global modifiers.

  4. In the previous version, we had a bug when display sort was enabled, if an item has the subitem option, but it doesn't have any subitem under it, the display sort function will not work. Now this bug has been fixed.

  5. In the previous version, Tools > Back Office > Setup > Orders > Disable save option on split page would only disable the save button on the split page from being clicked. In the new version, we have directly hidden this button. [Ticket #169779]

  6. In the previous version, Tools > Soldout was unable to mark items as sold out when the modifier Quantity was 0. In the current version, we have fixed this issue. [Ticket #170931]

  7. In previous versions, when merchants place orders by Walkin, ToGo, or Delivery, if the customer has both phone number and name, only a 5-digit phone number would be displayed. In the current version, we have added a switch in Tools > Back Office > Advanced > General > Order info, with 3 options Default, Phone, and Name. 

The Default option works the same as before, prioritizing displaying the phone number, and showing the name only if no phone number is available. The Phone option will only display the phone number. The Name option will only display the name with the first 9 characters.[Ticket #162380]
8. In the previous version, when a customer sets a schedule online order, all orders after this scheduled order will not be sent to the kitchen. This bug is fixed in the current version.
9. In the previous version, If an order (A) was removed using the tax tool, and transfer any item from this order (A) to another order (B), then taxes of order B will be removed in the database (even though on the preview page it has tax on it). As a result, cash payment is short of the tax amount (but card payment is fine). [Ticket #161494]
10. At the top left corner of the orders button, if both name and table exist, we added a switch setup -> order -> misc -> Name show before table name to control whether to show customer name before table [Ticket #169053]

11. In the new version, we add a setting Backoffice > Setup > Orders > misc > Apply item discount on discountable items only to control whether item discount is allowed on non-discountable items. If the setting is on, you cannot add item discount non-discountable items.

Print:
  1. In the previous version, if the kitchen printer enabled print price, whenever you add/change/void an item with a subitem, the printed price will be 0, which is incorrect. This bug has been fixed. [Ticket #170036]

  2. In the previous version, for delivery orders from the POS system that had "Pay at Store" in notes, “Pay at Store” were not highlighted. This bug has been fixed. [Ticket #169312]

  3. For the epson label printer, the format has been made the following adjustments: [Ticket #162931]

  • Remove the store name

  • Enlarged the font - controlled by customer font size

  • Printed modifier in new lines

4. In the previous version, the "Open Report Print" setting in the advanced back office did not function correctly. When "Open Report Print" was set to "No" and a waiter had an open ticket, the system should have prevented the user report from being printed. However, it still allowed the waiter to print the report despite the open ticket. This bug has now been fixed. [Ticket #169413]

5. In this new version, we’ve added a setting called “Modifier Group” in the order printer settings. When enabled, the printer will print only modifiers (both global and local) and group them accordingly. This setting is only supported when the printer model is kwickpos, and the printer mode is in New or Native Yes (only when the second language is None).

6. In the previous version, if the Dotmatrix Printer was set to use the "Reg" font, the Dine-in order type would appear twice in the header— system default name and customized name.

7. In the previous version, when the cash discount feature was enabled and setting to print both card and cash price. The tickets show card price=cash price,without differentiating between the two. In the new version, we have improved this behavior by separating these two prices on the printed ticket. The card price is shown above the cash price.This improvement applies to both printer mod : native yes and new and approved kwickpay on and off. (please note: cash discounts now only apply to whole payment cash.)
8.  Add a new switch on Advanced > Printer settings > printer name to control whether to print printer name on the kitchen receipt. (Header “Staff 1” is recommended for Dotmatrix printers) [Ticket #174310]

Payment:

  1. In the previous version. If customers use a card to pay and enable cash discount and use the signature and 2nd display in the pos system, partial pay doesn’t work properly, the first payment ends up taking the full amount from the card. The new version will charge properly.
  2. In this version, we added a new feature in Tools > Back Office > Setup > Payments > Credit Setting: Surcharge Collected By CC Machine.This feature allows the Pax credit card machine to automatically identify whether the card is a Credit Card or DEBIT Card, and decide whether to charge a surcharge fee based on the card type. To use this function, the Credit Card Processing Fee must be >0. Additionally, the Pax Store file build needs to be configured Surcharge Mode as Percentage and set percentage as 4% - currently only Pax CC Machine is supported.
  3. In the previous version, when placing an order first and then using the open tab, the customer name and auth amount would not be recorded at the ticket. In the new version, this issue has been resolved. [Ticket #176030]
  4. Cash Discount Optimizations:
  • Bugs related to pay first, enter and pay, split pay, gift card pay, and etc. were fixed
  • Cash discounts are only applied to orders paid in full using either cash or a gift card.
  • Cash discounts are not applied on any partial payments
  • Cash discount amount summary will be shown on the reports, including User Report, Daily Report, Sales Report, Monthly Report, Employees Report, Report Overview, and Dashboard Report.
In the new version, we've added logs at the bottom of the order to record the payment time and the user who closed the order. [Ticket #175311]
Report:
  1. In the previous version, if Waiter A logged in first and remained logged in, and then Waiter B accessed the Credit screen and entered B’s passcode, the system would display Waiter A’s credit card transactions instead of B’s. As a result, Waiter B could view and adjust all of Waiter A’s credit card tips. [Ticket #166934]


Other:
  1. In the previous version, if the terminal language was set to display both second language and English, then the ‘Click to select table’ will only be displayed in the second language. In this version, it will display both languages. [Ticket #164405]

2. In the previous version, if the terminal language was set to display the 2nd language, then when adding special requests using the QuickSR feature, the special request will always be displayed in English. In this version, the special request will be displayed in the 2nd language. [Ticket #164483]
3. In the new version, OnBook function can be customizable, It can be unable via BackOffice> Payments>Credit Setting>Onbook Rename
4. In this version, we added an alert window in the new back office that notifies users when the set surcharge exceeds 3%.

5. In this version, we added a new feature to add a border around KDS tickets to signify the time since it’s been entered. The colors range from light green, green, yellow, orange, red. Each color changes at the following time intervals: 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes. This setting can be enabled by going to Advanced settings > System > General > KDS Ticket Border Color. [Ticket #162532]

6. In this version, we added a new feature to display customer names first for dine-in orders in the recall/orders classic view. This will also apply to open tab orders. This setting can be enabled by going to back office > Setup > Orders > Misc > Name show before table name. [Ticket #168330]

7. in previous version, when scan a item in the cart, if this item is not show on the screen, it will create one in the menu, and will not delete it, in the new version, we fix it, it will not create a new item on the menu. [Ticket #169149]

8. In the previous version, when Void validation is set to No, users without void permission could still void the ticket.
9. Cashier Permission in the previous version,
  • If split permission is disabled, the split button is still clickable (while the split won't succeed). In new version, the split button is greyed out if split permission is disabled
  • When transfer, or discount is disabled, although the operation won't take effect, it doesn't prompt you to enter a password.
  • Add tip permission is disabled but could still add tips on payment page

  • Combine permission is disabled but could still combine tickets

10.  Added a check pay permission in Employees > Permissions to prevent users from using check payment type to close an order or to sell a gift card [Ticket #173004]
11. In the previous version, on the order list page, if the number of orders exceeds 999, the number will exceed the circle. In new version, we changed to circle to fit the number dynamically [Ticket #175728]
12. Kwickdriver Optimization:
  • In the previous version, a kwickdriver request was sent successfully, and driver came, but on the page it said “no driver found”. This is fixed in the new version.
  • If a kwickdriver quote fails after order being paid, you are only allowed to retry 2 times in the new version.

13. In the old version on iPad, when taking a pickup order and entering customer information, tapping on the name or phone number fields wouldn’t highlight the text box, making it appear as though the page was unresponsive. In the new version, the text box is properly highlighted when tapped. [Ticket #172179]

14.  In previous version, when add a new item in the menu with upc (without quantity), then go to new backoffice> inventory> stock and add quantity/cost for this new item, the upc code of this item will disappear on this page

15. In the previous version, daily sales summary (BackOffice>Apps>SMS Text>Daily Sales Summary) were not being sent to the merchant. This issue has been resolved in the new version.[Ticket #169411]
16. In this new version, the online portal's holiday function will also affect reservations for restaurant reservation mode and Nail Salon reservation Mode.

KwickMenu.com:
  1. In the previous version, if the merchant uses the old POS system and online version, and they enabled KwickDriver, their customer can order even not in business time. This bug is fixed now.

2. In the previous version, if an item had no Tax1, adding it to the cart and proceeding to checkout would incorrectly reapply Tax1 once the customer selected ‘By Card.’ This bug has now been fixed.
3. In the previous version, tax2 was not added then the customer selected ‘By Card’ or ‘By Store’. This bug has been fixed.
